Next up in our “Loving Lately” series is a cute as a button Dutch Colonial right in the middle of Mays Chapel: 12 Covert Court, Lutherville-Timonium, Maryland 21093.

12 Covert Court was listed on January 20, 2022 for $620,000. The home has 4 bedrooms, two full baths and one half bath, and just over 2,200 square feet above grade. Just as a traditional center hall colonial, you enter the home and the living room is to the right, the dining room to the left, and the kitchen in the back.

For a home built in 1978, the kitchen is surprisingly large in size, with a huge built-in refrigerator/freezer (think Sub Zero), a double oven, beverage fridge, breakfast bar peninsula and table space, which tells us that the kitchen was definitely renovated at some point not too long ago.

An added bonus with this home is a family room just off the kitchen with sliding glass doors that lead to the patio and back yard, a lot size of about one third of an acre, which is fairly typical for this neighborhood in Lutherville-Timonium.

The location of this home is ideal, as there is a direct foot path to Pinewood Elementary School (and all of its playgrounds and sports fields) which is super convenient for families with young children! The other benefit is the cul-de-sac location, which means there is no thru-traffic and thus less noise and worry about speeding cars.

No doubt this home needs a little bit of updating, but the space is great, the square footage is enough even for a larger family, with the finished lower level providing another 1,000 square feet of living space. The other thing about this house is that it’s an estate sale. Estate sales are almost always “as-is” and can have some quirks in the process compared to a regular sale, but nothing that can’t be overcome with a savvy, experienced agent.

The listing price was reduced on February 21st to $605,000 and the home is still active on the market, which tells us that the price is still not quite right. But this location really can’t be beat, so we are sure it will sell soon.
